As someone in the Social Media industry which is ever changing, it’s always good to keep track of the trends. I practically go through various social media resources to know what is happening – within and outside of my country.

Here is a list of various social media resources that I have compiled and visit them regularly. Those resources have been bookmarked in every possible readers that I go to.

I truly value the worth of each of the social media resources listed below and I recommend that you visit each of them. They have nuggets of information that would be helpful to any social media marketer, from a newbie to the advanced.

These has been my go-to site for anything that relates to social media campaigns in India. The authors do not shy away from giving a thumbs-down to any bad campaign and that is what makes their articles awesome – pure opinion! You should visit this social media resource to read unbiased campaign reviews and industry insights.

2. Medianama

Not a typical social media resource, but it has been India’s powerhouse for Digital Media. No digital media campaign is complete till it gets featured on Medianama. They have the latest industry scoops and helps to keep track of the digital media industry in India

3. Social Samosa

Another Social Media powerhouse from India, they have a variety of content – from campaign reviews to their unique Twangout interspersed with industry news and information of other Social Media tools.

4. Business 2 Community

Read news, opinions and everything social media on this site. They have a big community of contributors who write on various topics of Social Media – platforms, tools, strategies, etc.

5. Social Media Today

Like their tag line says ‘News & Analysis on Social Media Marketing, Strategy & Social Business’ – they have some great articles on the industry. The best are their webinars. Do register for them now!

6. Social Media Examiner

Another great social media resource, they have interesting lineup of articles. Add to that, the multiple podcasts and you do not miss a beat. Apart from rich content, I do recommend this site for the podcasts, subscribe to few and you’ll know.

7. AllTwitter

Do you know about Twitticisms?? You can find it here. The site has amazing list of articles and all the latest scoops about Twitter. Read the site for all you want to know of Twitter – best practices, stats, news and much more.

8. AllFacebook

According to them, they are “The Unofficial Facebook Blog”. So expect deluge of information about Facebook – Personal or Business. Let me tell you, this is one of the biggest resource to find every thing about Facebook.

9. Hubspot

Love marketing, then you cannot miss Hubspot. Apart from their wonderful tool for inbound marketing, the site is a treasure trove for inbound marketing ideas. Make sure to read their blog regularly.

10. Brian Dean (SEO)

I stumbled upon Brian’s Blog recently and could instantly connect with his thoughts. He’s got some brilliant ideas on SEO and how to make your content get viral. You should read his tips on writing less often but having bigger posts. And he’s got many other tricks up his sleeve. Read him!

11. Mark Schaefer (Social Media)

It was one of those discussion about Klout that made me visit Mark’s blog. And then I just admired his opinion on various social media marketing topics. Read him if you like challenging status quo!

12. Peg Fitzpatrick  (Social Media)

If you know about 12Most or MyBookClub, that you cannot miss the awesomeness of Peg Fitzpartick. Add Google+ to that and you will see a Social Media powerhouse there. Her personal blog is a great social media resource and her articles are very insightful.

Listed in Social Media Examiner’s Top 10 Blog of 2013, Ian’s blog about Social Media tools and his insights about other topics are brilliant. Catch up with his blog if you’d like to know of various How-To’s  and have a deep dive on various tools.

15. Gini Dietrich (Social Media)

To catch up with her brilliance, start reading the ‘The Three Things’ series. Gini is an awesome writer and her articles on PR, Marketing or Social Media are very thought provoking. Follow her if you’re looking forward to read about branding, building community or content monetization.
