Top 5 Post on Google Plus SEO – Week #35

Google Plus SEOThe Google Plus SEO co-relation has been an oft debated topic.

I have always been told and tell some of my followers that you ignore Google Plus at your own peril. Remember that the power behind Google Plus is Google and it’s a mighty animal.

With Social SEO being the norm of future, where your public sharing activities like location check in, your reviews about a product and all type of social activities getting tracked, the presence on site like Google Plus is inevitable.

Martin Shervington say exactly this, when he quotes the Vic Gundotra’s interview with Guy Kawasaki saying – Google Plus as a ‘social layer’ over Google’s products and services.

Though when talking about the effect of +1 on Social Rankings, I was surprised to read Matt Cutts take that +1 on Google Plus do not contribute to SEO.

But Mark Traphagen was quick to refute that and in his article mentions how +1 contributes in a way to Google Plus SEO benefits. Check out his article on how you can implement Google Plus SEO.

Again, Cyrus Shepard on his article at Moz gives us a detailed information on the co-relation between Google +1 and SEO.  Interestingly, he notes – Intentional or not, the engineers who made Google Plus built it for SEO.

The how-to post is by Kristi Hines and she covers the SEO benefits via Google Plus Profiles.
