5 Blogging Goals for 2014

Blogging GoalsIt’s December and almost Christmas. For most of us, it’s the time we take a re-look at what blogging goals we envisaged at the start of the year and also prepare for the next year.

This year, I decided to be more open about my goals and decided to disclose them.

Why?

One reason, laying down my blogging goals early would help my reader know what they can look forward at this place going into 2014.

Next, having it public will ensure that I will not find an excuse to not do it. And not doing so will be akin to breaking a promise that I have made to my readers and I will hate that.

So here are my blogging goals going into 2014

5 Blogging Goals for 2014

1. Ebook

This is the number one blogging goal for the coming year. It has been on my ‘to-do’ list for a long time now and something that HAS to be done much sooner. So, by the time most of you folks come back from vacation, I do intend to bring out the ebook. January is the month for this and look forward the update soon. Meanwhile you can always download the ‘Editorial Calendar Template

2. Email List

The other blogging goal is to improve my readership and numerous folks have suggested to build an email list. That I intend to do after the ebook is launched and like many others, will be offering this ebook to everyone who share their email id.

3. In-depth articles (Cornerstone content)

Again, this has been on my ‘to-do’ for a while now. While I often write 500-800 word articles, this one I should be about 2000 words and I am sure you will like that article. The blogging goal is to have one in-depth article every month.

4. Video Blog

The benefits of Video Blog is pretty obvious and Google also appreciates variety of content. This year I managed to have infographics added to my own content and going forward in 2014, I intend to add videos about SEO and Blogging. The idea is to leverage my #SEOTalk community to deliver video content.

5. Training

Very ambitious, but the intention is to share the knowledge I have gained from all the years of blogging, writing various articles. I plan to launch one course initially and depending upon how you the readers accept it, will be having few more. This should come up in the last quarter of the year though

There you go, looking forward to a rocking 2014.
