10 Tips to Maximize Facebook Engagement

Facebook Engagement Strategies

Most brands that I know of are on Facebook, yet very few realize the importance of Facebook engagement.

With Facebook making it difficult for brands to be seen organically, it becomes all the more important for them to focus on maximizing engagement.

Not that they don’t want to do it, but many are still finding ways to drive meaningful conversations on Facebook. Also it’s not an easy job to keep the your fans interested all the time.

Thus, a Facebook engagement strategy is the need of the hour and brands need to keep a close eye on the factors that affect engagement.

Here are few tips that could help brands drive engagement.

10 Tips to drive Facebook Engagement

1. Timing – Brands need to post when the audience is active. Determine the best time to share and do it often.

2. Emotions – Human beings are emotional souls. Appeal to the emotions and engagement will fly in.

3. Crowdsource Answers – Asking questions is one of the most important strategy to drive engagement. Ask them what they feel about a certain thing. You can pick up the latest news of the industry and ask their opinion too.

4. Hashtags – While Facebook hashtags have still not become popular, I see a good future for it and thus recommend that brands start using them now.

5. Collaborate – We > Me. Leverage the power of collaboration. Appreciate work done by other brands, be genuine about it and your fans will love it.

6. Rich Media – How often have you shared a post with photo or video, answer would be more often. No one likes reading dull text, spice up with a photo or video.

7. Contest – They are the sure shot way of driving engagement. While not all the participants will stay loyal to your brand, but certainly with better follow-up strategies, brands can expect good engagement.

8. Expertise – Brands are expected to know the best about their industry and it pays well when the expertise is showcased in the updates.

9. Frequency – Silence is not a virtue on social media. Engagement is hardly visible on brands that choose to remain silent. Have at least 2-3 posts per day.

And finally,

10. Call to Action – Brands that choose to have call to action have seen better engagement rates. Ask people to take certain actions – Like, Share, Download, View, etc and compare it’s performance with other updates.

I believe following all or few of these tips will surely pump up your Facebook engagement.
