Top 5 People on Google+ – Week #48

People on Google+The oft repeated statement I hear is, where are people on Google+ ?

Or ‘ Google+ is a ghost town’

Or ‘Google+ cannot match Facebook’

And so over last few months, I was looking at Google+ very closely. Was simply amazed by the quality of conversation I started having there.

No doubt, communities was a game-changer for Google+, but even otherwise as I started following and interacting with few people and was might impressed by their understanding of the platform.

While, Facebook does score high in terms of number of people you follow or interact with, but I simply cannot compare it with the Google+. Because, I find Facebook pretty ‘noisy’ when I compare with Google+ and couple that with in your face ads. The Google+ interface is pretty clean in that sense.

Also, the hangouts and it’s various uses by few people on Google+ makes it a much better platform than Facebook.

But all of these has been made powerful by people like us or maybe like the few people I mention below.

Like Mark Traphagen, who is an expert in Google Authorship. He shares some wonderful insights and answers every question about Authorship in an easy to understand fashion.

Or Martin Shervington, the man behind ‘Plus Your Business’. He can tell you all the tips and tricks to master Google+. Follow his blog or join his community to experience his prowess about Google+.

And then you have Eric Enge, the SEO guy you ought to interact with. Great mind and he can definitely make SEO easy for you.

When you talk SEO, than ‘semantic search‘ cannot be left out and so we need to talk about David Amerland. As the author of  ‘Google Semantic Search’, he adds a lot of value while talking about Google Search and specifically when it comes to the semantic aspect of search.

I did talk about the Hangouts feature of Google+ and so I also need to mention Ronnie Bincer also known as ‘The Hangout Helper’. Follow him to know the various tricks and tips on how to use Hangouts, no one else can explain it better.

I do follow many others, but these people on Google+ have been instrumental in keeping my interest alive and ensuring I listen to them intently.

What you can do next?
